Bryan Sims

Bryan Sims is executive editor of DownstreamBusiness.com and a regular contributor to Downstream Business magazine. He reports on biofuels, alternative fuel and refining technologies, petrochemicals, as well as energy technology. Sims received the 2015 Hart Energy Award of Excellence for feature writing and, in 2013, won the top editorial prize for energy writing from FOLIO: magazine, the leading publication serving the U.S. media industry. Prior to joining Hart Energy, Sims held the position of associate editor for BBI International, covering biofuels for the company's two premier publications. Before covering biofuels, he wrote for two daily newspapers located in Wahpeton, N.D., and Crookston, Minn. Sims is a retired veteran of the Army National Guard. He holds a B.A. in communications from the University of North Dakota.
