Golar Power recently announced that its board of directors have approved taking a final investment decision (FID) on the Porto de Sergipe project, thereby enabling CELSE, the project company, to enter into a lump sum turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreement with General Electric (GE) to build, maintain and operate a 1.5-gigawatt (GW) combined cycle power plant in Brazil.
