Alaska Railroad Plans Nation’s First LNG Demo Haul

The Alaska Railroad (AARC) recently announced that it will demonstrate the transport of LNG in intermodal LNG ISO containers from southcentral to interior Alaska during a month-long operational performance project in the early fall of this year. AARC becomes the first railroad in the country to obtain permission to haul LNG by rail.
