The state of Alaska (through the Alaska Gasline Development Corp., or AGDC) and ConocoPhillips Alaska Inc. recently executed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding negotiations to form a joint-venture (JV) company that could facilitate marketing LNG from the Alaska LNG project.
The Alaska Railroad (AARC) recently announced that it will demonstrate the transport of LNG in intermodal LNG ISO containers from southcentral to interior Alaska during a month-long operational performance project in the early fall of this year. AARC becomes the first railroad in the country to obtain permission to haul LNG by rail.
Compañía Española de Petróleos, S.A.U. (Cepsa) recently announced that, as part of the European Commission-supported “CoreLNGas Hive Initiative,” it will operate the first multiproduct barge in Europe, which will supply ships with LNG.
