Industrial gases giant Linde announced Oct. 22 that it has launched construction of a rail siding adjacent to a nearly complete air separation unit (ASU) that will serve its new gasification project at La Porte, Texas.

Reliance Taps Servomex for Gasification Gas-Analyzers

U.K.-based Servomex recently announced that it won a contract from Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) to provide oxygen (O2) and carbon-monoxide (CO) gas analyzers for RIL’s under-construction petcoke-gasification project at the 1.3-million-barrel-per-day Jamnagar refinery in India.

PetroSA Posts FY 2014 Net Loss on Impairment Charge

South Africa-based gas-to-liquids (GTL) specialist PetroSA announced Oct. 21 that it posted an R1.65-billion (US$150-million) net loss for fiscal-year (FY) 2014 because of a R3.4-billion (US$309-million) impairment against its on-shore and offshore oil-and-gas assets.
