DuPont Eyes Cellulosic-Ethanol Deployment in Macedonia

The Government of the Republic of Macedonia recently joined a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Hungary-based Ethanol Europe and DuPont to facilitate the development of a cellulosic-ethanol market in the Pelagonia region—one of eight statistical regions in the country, and bordering Greece and Albania.

ZeaChem, Leaf Energy Collaborate on Cellulosic-Sugar Feedstock

Australia-based Leaf Energy Ltd. and its subsidiary, Leaf Resources, has signed a collaboration agreement with Lakewood, Colo.-based biorefiner ZeaChem Inc. to evaluate potential incorporation of Leaf Energy’s trademarked “Leaf Glycell” process for producing cellulosic sugars from poplar inputs.
